Flip your text upside down, mirror it or reverse it, then copy and paste it into any app.

Upside-down text is a fun way to stand out in a bio, a comment, a game name or a message to a friend. It isn’t an image or a font. Each letter is swapped for a real Unicode character that looks like the flipped version, so the result can be pasted almost anywhere text is allowed. This generator also mirrors and reverses text.
How do I write text upside down?
Type your words in the box above and the upside-down version appears instantly. The tool reverses the order of the letters and swaps each one for a look-alike Unicode character, such as ǝ for e and ɐ for a. Press Copy text and paste it into Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Discord or a game.
How it works
Unicode, the standard that covers every alphabet on computers, includes characters from phonetics and other scripts that happen to look like upside-down Latin letters. When you flip text, the generator does two things: it reverses the letter order so the text reads correctly when the screen is turned around, and it swaps each letter for its flipped look-alike.
Where you can use it
Upside-down text works in most social media bios, captions and comments, messaging apps and many game usernames. Some sites limit special characters in usernames, so if one is rejected, try removing the punctuation. Screen readers may not read flipped text correctly, so avoid it for important information.
Mirror vs reverse
Mirror flips the text left to right, like seeing it in a mirror. Reverse simply writes the letters backwards without changing their shape.

Frequently asked questions
Does upside-down text work on Instagram?
Yes. You can paste it into your bio, captions and comments.
Can I use upside-down text on WhatsApp?
Yes. Paste it into any chat, status or your About section.
Why do some letters not flip?
A few characters, such as some symbols and accented letters, have no upside-down look-alike in Unicode, so they stay as they are.
Is this a font?
No. It uses real Unicode characters, which is why it can be pasted into apps that don’t let you change fonts.
How do I flip it back?
Paste the upside-down text into the box and flip it again. Most letters return to normal.
