Turn your CGPA into a percentage for job forms, admissions and scholarship applications. Works with 4.0, 5.0 and 10-point grading.

Many universities report results as a CGPA, but job portals and admission forms often ask for a percentage. There is no single worldwide formula. The right conversion depends on your grading scale and, sometimes, your university. This calculator gives you the formulas in common use and shows the working, so you can match it to the rule printed on your transcript.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
On a 4.0 scale, the most common conversion is CGPA ÷ 4 × 100, so a 3.2 CGPA becomes 80%. On the Indian CBSE 10-point scale, multiply by 9.5, so 8.0 becomes 76%. If your transcript or university states its own formula, use that one, because it is what employers will check.
Common CGPA to percentage formulas

Some universities in Pakistan and elsewhere publish their own table that maps grade points to percentage ranges, and those tables don’t always follow a straight ratio. Check the back of your transcript or your university website. If a form asks for a percentage and your university has no rule, the simple ratio is the most widely accepted choice.
How to use the CGPA to Percentage Calculator
Enter your CGPA
Type the CGPA exactly as it appears on your transcript, for example 3.2 or 8.45.

Choose your scale
Select 4.0, 5.0 or 10-point, matching the maximum CGPA your university uses.

Pick the formula
On a 10-point scale you can choose CBSE, ×10, VTU or your own multiplier. On 4.0 and 5.0 scales the simple ratio is used.

Read your percentage
The percentage appears instantly, with the full working underneath so you can show how it was calculated.

Which percentage should I write on a form?
Use the formula your own university prescribes. If there isn’t one, write the simple-ratio percentage and mention your CGPA next to it, for example “3.20/4.00 (80%)”. Showing both avoids confusion and makes your result easy to verify.
