Type a number of hours and minutes to see what time it will be, starting from your device clock or a time you pick. You get the clock time, the weekday and the full date.
Runs in your browser using your device clock and time zone. Nothing is sent anywhere.

This tool answers what time will it be in hours for travellers, shift workers, parents timing medicine doses, students and anyone planning ahead. It starts from the current time on your device, or from any date and time you choose, adds or subtracts hours and minutes, and shows the result with the weekday and date.
What Time Will It Be in Hours From Now?
Add the hours to the current time and subtract 24 for each full day you pass, moving the date forward each time. For example, 12 hours after 2:30 PM on Saturday 10 October 2026 is 2:30 AM on Sunday 11 October, and 100 hours 30 minutes after 9:00 AM is 1:30 PM on Wednesday 14 October.
How Do You Work Out What Time It Will Be in a Number of Hours?
Add the hours to the current hour, and if the total reaches 24 or more, take away 24 for each full day and move the date forward by that many days.
days later = whole part of ((start hour + hours added) ÷ 24)
The mod 24 step, also called modular arithmetic or clock arithmetic, wraps the hour around the clock face, just like 13:00 is 1 PM. The tool reads the start time from your device clock in your own local time zone, so it shows what your wall clock will say. It works on the 24-hour clock, written as in ISO 8601, and also shows the 12-hour AM and PM form.
What Time Will It Be in 12 Hours?
In 12 hours the clock shows the same number but the opposite half of the day, so 2:30 PM becomes 2:30 AM the next day.

Does Daylight Saving Time Change the Answer?
Yes, if the clocks change during the hours you add, the wall clock time will be one hour off the simple sum, and this tool follows your device’s time zone rules for that.
With daylight saving time, clocks in the US, UK and EU jump forward one hour in spring and back one hour in autumn. The tool adds real elapsed hours, so 24 hours after 2:30 PM on the day before the clocks go forward is 3:30 PM. If you need the time in another city, use the time zone converter, and to switch a result like 02:30 into 12-hour form, try the military time converter.
Worked Example
A traveller boards an overnight coach on Saturday 10 October 2026 at 2:30 PM and the trip takes 12 hours. Tap A time I choose, pick 10 October 2026 and 14:30, then type 12 hours. The tool shows 2:30 AM on Sunday, 11 October 2026, marked Tomorrow (+1). For a 100 hour 30 minute delivery window starting at 9:00 AM the same day, it shows 1:30 PM on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, 4 days later. Tapping Hours ago with a start of 6:00 AM and 10 hours gives 8:00 PM on Friday, 9 October. To count only the gap between two times, the hours calculator is quicker.

Frequently Asked Questions
What time will it be in 8 hours?
Add 8 to the current hour. If it is 2:30 PM now, in 8 hours it will be 10:30 PM the same day. If it is 11:00 PM, in 8 hours it will be 7:00 AM tomorrow.
What time will it be in 24 hours?
In exactly 24 hours it will be the same clock time tomorrow, for example 2:30 PM Saturday becomes 2:30 PM Sunday. The only exception is a night when clocks change for daylight saving, when it is one hour off.
How do I work out what time it was some hours ago?
Tap Hours ago and type the hours. The tool subtracts them and moves back across midnight if needed. For example, 10 hours before 6:00 AM on Saturday is 8:00 PM on Friday.
Can I add hours and minutes together?
Yes. Type the hours in one box and the minutes in the other. 100 hours and 30 minutes after 9:00 AM on Saturday 10 October 2026 lands on 1:30 PM on Wednesday 14 October.
Why is the tool showing the wrong current time?
It reads the time from your phone or computer. If your device clock or time zone is wrong, the result will be too. Fix the device setting, or tap A time I choose and type the correct start time.
Does the result update by itself?
Yes. In Now mode the tool rechecks your device clock every 30 seconds, so the answer stays current while the page is open. In chosen time mode it only changes when you edit the inputs.
