Military time, also called 24-hour time, counts the hours of the day from 00 to 23 so there’s never any doubt about morning or evening. It’s used by armed forces, hospitals, airlines, railways and much of the world outside the US. This converter switches between 24-hour and 12-hour time in either direction and shows how the time is spoken.

How do I convert military time to regular time?

If the hour is 12 or less, it’s the same time in the morning (use PM for 12). If it’s 13 or more, subtract 12 and add PM. So 1430 is 2:30 PM, 0915 is 9:15 AM, and 0000 is midnight, 12:00 AM.
